ITIL Certification — *honest talk about ITIL 4, IT service management certifications, and what actually moves your career forward in this field*.

Most ITIL and certification content online falls into two camps. The first is training-provider marketing dressed up as advice — the same five articles about why you should buy their bootcamp, written from a script. The second is forum threads where people share half-remembered exam tips and outdated material that hasn't been refreshed since the ITIL v3 days. Neither is what someone trying to figure out their next certification or career move actually needs.

I write what I would want to read. I have actually taken these certifications and used the frameworks in production environments. I have hired people with various credentials and seen what those credentials predict and what they don't. I have run service management transformations that worked and ones that didn't. The site is conversational because the topic is dense and casual writing helps people actually finish reading. The opinions are honest because the alternative is more vendor talking points and there are already enough of those.
